Types of Skilled Migration Visa for Australia
  • Independent Skilled Migration Visa is the most popular skilled migration category for those looking to emigrate to Australia and is geared to skilled workers who can make an immediate contribution to the Australian economy.
  • Sponsored Skilled Migration Visa is for skilled applicants looking to emigrate to Australia who have close family members living in Australia or who are sponsored by an Australian State or Territory.

  • The Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) is designed to help employers in regional or low population growth areas of Australia, who are unable to fill skilled vacancies from the Australian labour market.
  • The Skilled Temporary Business (Long Stay) - 457 Visa is the most commonly used program for employers to sponsor overseas workers to work in Australia on a temporary basis. There are also special arrangements for employers in regional areas across Australia.

    Retirement Visas for Australia
    An Investor Retirement Visa is a temporary entry visa only. It does not lead to permanent residence in Australia or to Australian citizenship. If you are considering applying for an Investor Retirement Visa, the principal applicant must be 55 years or older, have no dependants (other than a spouse) and be able to be self-supporting in Australia without cost to Australian social and welfare services.

    The Investor Retirement Visa does not provide any entitlement to coverage by Medicare (Australia's national health cover) or to Australian social security benefits. The applicant will be required to hold private medical coverage for the duration of their visa.
